Bernar Venet, aged 83, is one of the most important conceptual artists in France and even the world.

The large-scale retrospective exhibition "Beyond Ideas and Matter" by Benavinet was recently exhibited at the Phoenix Center in Beijing, showcasing nearly 180 classic works from Benavinet's artistic career spanning over 60 years. Some of these series of works have participated in important exhibitions such as the S ã o Paulo Biennale, the Kassel Documenta, and the Venice Biennale, and have also been exhibited at art museums such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Pompidou Art Center in Paris, and the Tate Modern in London. This exhibition is also an important cultural project for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France in 2024, the China France Cultural Tourism Year, and the 18th "China France Cultural Spring".

In the exhibition space of over 10000 square meters at the Phoenix Center in Beijing, Weiwei showcases its unique artistic works to the public, ranging from tar (asphalt) paintings, cardboard reliefs, performance shows, mathematical paintings to new media interactions, alien sculptures, as well as diverse art forms such as photography, sound, and film.
